Why Do You Buy an EVI DC Inverter Heat Pump?

Are you looking for highly-efficient heat pumps? If yes, then you should look no further than an EVI DC Inverter Heat Pump. EVI stands for “Enhanced Vapor Injection” – a technology used on cold climate heat pumps to provide superior performance at lower temperatures.

Low Temperature Heat Pump

Generally, heat pumps use a single or a dual-speed compressor which means it is either off or on. Arctic EVI DC Inverter Heat Pump uses the industry-standard compressor, a variable-speed DC Panasonic EVI compressor. The DC motor operates at the exact speed which it requires to achieve optimal efficiency.

This way, the heat pump achieves over 30% more efficiency on an average than a standard heat pump system. It is very important as the compressor consumes bulk amount of energy requirements for a heat pump.

The decrease in compressor energy results in significant increase in the COP – Co-efficiency of Performance. The heat pump system has brushless DC fan motor and PFC control; so it doesn’t require any start up capacitor. Usually, conventional motors require starting and stopping constantly. But the DC inverter heat pump doesn’t require any starting and stopping which minimizes the needed input energy and reduces the wear and tear on the compressor.

The EVI heat pump uses a third smaller internal plate heat exchanger known as “Economizer” within the refrigeration cycle. Some of hot refrigerant vapor present inside the condenser is bypassed to a HX by using a bypass valve by combining with the colder gas present on the evaporator expansion side.

The heat energy is transferred increasing gas temperature. The energy is injected at mid-range pressure into the head of the scroll compressor by using an individual vapor injection port. The EVI heat pump technology can overcome the limitation of maximum flow temperature which other cold climate heat exchangers are unable to do. The latest heat pump technology makes sure that more amount of heat is delivered that result in a better COP at much lower temperatures. The EVI heat pump technology increases the performance efficiency by 27-30%.

Most compressors switch on and work until they reach the set point. After that, they will switch off until they go below the set point. It results in hot and cold fluctuation in room temperature and longer running times. Though DC inverter heat pump has variable speed compressor, it can reach the desired room temperature much faster as the compressor can get to the high speed right at the beginning.

Once the system reaches the desired temperature, the compressor will throttle back and maintain the temperature and will supply exact amount of energy as required. It significantly improves comfort and minimizes operational costs.
